Unfortunate Heir

Rindrala Kalrein (Drakada) was the first child of Carys and Dean Kalrein.
However, he wasn't the official Kalrein heir because when he grew up he wouldn't physically be fit enough to walk or see properly.
It's normal for Yunexions to be born with problems: scars, small body failures.
Unfortunately for Rindrala he was born with many different complications that kicked in when he was about 3 years old.
When he was 10, The Gerastelda project, in which the Kalrein family funded, blackmailed Carys and Dean into giving little Rindrala away for experimental purposes when Riley, their second child, was 7.
So Rindrala was taken away and became Drakada Gerastelda, and Mortala said to Riley that it was Drakada that killed Carys and Dean, when Mortala had killed them for funding the project.
Drakada became the official Kalrein heir when his physical problems were cured, but he still stuck to the name Gerastelda to protect Linkardrio.
